Most homeowners never see the inside of their HVAC system. And honestly, that's exactly why maintenance gets skipped. Out of sight, out of mind - until something stops working.

Here's what we were working with on this one. The blower wheel was caked with years of buildup. We're talking thick, compacted debris packed between every single blade. When a blower wheel gets that dirty, it can't move air efficiently. The motor works harder, airflow drops, and your energy bills creep up without you even realizing why. That kind of buildup doesn't happen overnight, but it also doesn't fix itself.

The evaporator coil told the same story. Heavy grime, rust staining on surrounding components, and a drain line that needed to be cleared before it caused water damage. A clogged condensate drain is one of the most common - and most preventable - reasons we get called out for emergency repairs. Clearing it during a routine tune-up takes minutes. Dealing with water damage after the fact takes a lot longer and costs a lot more.

What we did here was get the system moving in the right direction. Cleared the drain, assessed the full system, and documented what we found. Regular A/C maintenance catches all of this before it becomes a breakdown. It keeps the system running cleaner, longer, and without surprise failures at the worst possible time.

If your system hasn't been looked at in a while, there's a good chance something similar is building up inside yours too. A system tune-up is one of the simplest ways to protect your equipment and avoid the kind of mess we walked into here.
