Inverter systems are some of the most efficient AC units out there. They adjust their speed to match what your home actually needs instead of just cycling on and off. That efficiency is great - but it also means when something's off, the whole system feels it. And without regular maintenance, small issues turn into expensive ones fast.
Here's what a proper tune-up actually covers. We pull the filter, swap it out with a fresh Z-Line series filter, and get into the air handler to treat the evaporator coil with coil cleaner. That coil buildup is not just an efficiency issue - it restricts airflow, makes your system work harder, and shortens its lifespan. The rust and grime we find on drain pans and housing panels tells us a lot about how long it's been since the last service.
Outside, we flush and rinse the condenser coil to clear out anything blocking heat transfer. That water flushing step matters more than most people realize. A dirty condenser coil is one of the top reasons systems struggle to keep up on hot days. We also check refrigerant levels, electrical connections, and make sure everything is running the way it should before we pack up.
We also added a UV air purifier light inside the air handler on this one. That UV lamp sitting inside the duct opening is not just for looks - it continuously works to reduce mold, bacteria, and other contaminants that grow on and around your evaporator coil. It is one of the best additions you can make to an existing system, especially in a humid climate where mold growth is a real concern.
A little maintenance goes a long way. Skipping it might not seem like a big deal today, but the repair bills and breakdowns down the road have a way of showing up at the worst times. We handle everything from routine HVAC tune-ups to full AC repairs, and we take the time to actually do the job right.
