We came out to replace the blower motor on this package unit - straightforward repair on the surface. But once we had the unit open, we didn't just swap the part and pack up. That's not how we operate.

Here's what we were working with: debris buildup piled up inside the cabinet, deteriorating insulation at the base of the unit, and general wear that you'd expect from a system that hasn't had a thorough inspection in a while. None of that gets flagged if someone just shows up, swaps the motor, and leaves.

So while we had everything open, we went ahead and performed a full maintenance service. Coil treatment, cleaning out the interior, and addressing the condition of the unit as a whole. The Evergreen ECM motor went in, and the system got a proper tune-up alongside it. That's the difference between a quick fix and a service call that actually means something.

A blower motor failure is usually the symptom you notice. What you don't notice - until it becomes a much bigger problem - is everything happening quietly in the background. Debris in the cabinet restricts airflow. Degraded insulation affects efficiency. Small things compound over time. Catching them during a repair visit is exactly how you avoid an emergency call down the road.

That's what a real HVAC tune-up looks like. Not just checking a box, but actually looking at the whole system while we're there. If your unit hasn't been serviced in a while, it's worth getting eyes on it before the heat really cranks up.
