Most homeowners never think about their AC until it stops working on the hottest day of the year. By that point, what could have been a simple tune-up turns into an emergency repair - and a much bigger bill. That's exactly the kind of situation we work to prevent.

Here's what a proper HVAC tune-up actually looks like. We got into the condenser coils on this Lennox outdoor unit and flushed them out with a steady water rinse. The grime that builds up on those coils over time acts like insulation - it blocks airflow and forces the system to work harder than it should. Clean coils mean better heat transfer, which means the system runs more efficiently and puts less wear on the compressor.

The gas furnace got attention too. Even in summer, the furnace is part of the same system, and skipping it during a tune-up is cutting corners. We went through the full unit - checking components, making sure everything is clean and functioning the way it should heading into the months when the AC carries the heaviest load.

This is what routine HVAC maintenance is supposed to look like. Not a quick glance and a filter swap, but an actual hands-on inspection and cleaning of the components that keep the whole system running. A little time spent on maintenance now is a lot cheaper than a compressor replacement or refrigerant leak repair down the road.
